I have an 870, this much is obvious... The safety on it is rather small, and inconvenient to quickly activate. I want to try a bigger one, but can't find what it actually does.

Does it extend the safety to allow easier "switch to fire" activation? Is it recommended? It is really the only thing I lust after to make the 870 perfect...
