I was supposed to have a Colt yesterday. The gunshop owner said another employee sold it unknowingly. It had just been taken in on another trade. Whether that is the truth or not I have no way of knowing. He didn't exactly apologize about it (which makes me wonder). I didn't make a fuss about it. I have been a good customer at this store for years but this new owner bought out the previous owner about 3 months ago.
I haven't found a Colt or other make that has a factory ambi safety AND arched mainspring housing and preferably no extraneous slide serrations and other non-value added customization IMO (see my original post). I appreciate the knowledge thus far. I'm still looking and would appreciate further knowledge. I'm nowhere near as experienced with autos as with revolvers.
