A Tanfoglio small frame Witness hammer will work if your smith decides to go that route, but I would imagine unless your hammer is bad for some reason, the only replacement hammer would be a single action only hammer.
Also, I heard recently that Springfield still services these guns under their lifetime warranty, so don't get too crazy with aftermarket parts.
