Looking at the top pic which is much clearer I looks as if that primer is indeed seated rather deep and is that an outward dimple in the middle of that primer cuz if it is I think it may be the cup pressed against the anvil ??? Hard to tell but looking with a magnifying glass at the pic things dont look right.
