Mine isn't that noisy. I run mine in the garage floor, come into a short hallway and into a den and with the garage door shut you can't hear it in the rest of the house. You don't hear it in the rooms above the garage either. In fact if you forget that you have it running you can go to bed and leave it on all night if not careful. However if you enter the garage as my wife does on occasion the noise will startle her. With an extremely full hopper of brass it makes a little more noise with the brass vibrating against the plastic top.
