Good choice on the 10/22 and you are sure to catch the bug. As far as the Thunderbolts, I have been one that does not prefer this ammo. If you can return it without much hassle, do so. Otherwise I would not worry about it as I believe that the new Bolts might be better. Eventually you will be comfortable with couple of brands. I think they call this "A learning Curve". It's a process that never ends. Have a great time!!!
