You know your`re right I failed to remember the fixed barrel. I dont know what to think about it. I had a few Walters many years back that had fixed barrels, they shot very good but who knows, there is so little known about the new Colt and I hate to be the guinea pig. I really wished the new Browning 1911 22 wasn`t so much smaller, that would have been perfect. Good Luck
