Im short and small 5'8" 150lbs but with long arms but the warsaw length buttstock is just fine for me.
I've found that AR type stocks all feel cheap and shifty compared the kvar stuff that comes on the Arsenal rifles as stock.
And both of my SGL 21s have midwest industries quadrail forends so...melting isn't an issue...Nor do I think it would be if my forends were polymer.
