I know what you mean about "enjoy looking at it" I am still trying to understand my own fascination with the black powder finery. Part of that is due to the fact that I am an engineer, and I marvel at what was possible in a time when there were no CNC machine centers; only some hand tools and a dedication to creativity and craftmanship. Looks like fun to me!
