A picture of the S&W looks like the dovetail is shallower than a real BoMar, but it would not hurt to ask Mr Harrison.
Sounds kind of strange to me. When I was learning, installing an adjustable sight was a major upgrade. Now we are leaning the other way. With fixed sights that cost more than the adjustable they replace.
C.E. Harris said that he preferred fixed sights on any but target pistols.
If he just had to use adjustable, as on a Magnum revolver, he would carefully sight it in with ammo he expected to use regularly, then epoxy the adjustments in place.
