I have a 22 that split the barrel, it was first pistol I learned on, but had fired probably 50,000+ rounds through it. remember when ammo was under .50 for a box of 50 rounds of 22s? go out on a weekend & shoot 2 bricks.

I still have it locked away, the forcing cone area split, & up into the barrel area. several gunsmiths said it wasnt worth fixing, so for 15+ years it has rested in the original presentation box.

most everyone else I have talked to said they were great guns, if I ever see another I would like to try it out & see if I could split another.
