+P rounds are made to give the round more power.Some 38+P approach low powered 357s.I shoot 38+Ps in my snub,but only because they deliver outstanding groups.To me accuracy and reliable feeding are more important than power.You can have the most powerfull handgun/cartridge combo but it will be useless unless you can score good hits with it on your target.And hits is what it all comes down,scoring first and disabling your opponent.
