I don't know why any of us would have need for one of these, but in the context of the military for whom it is designed it may be a great weapon. Veterans of the Mid-East would know better, but didn't one recently say that they use shotguns for breaching doors and then sling the shotgun and go to a carbine? I can envision the need for a fast loading semi with mags, however, in a situation where you are in danger of being over ran by an enemy that is literally in your face, but then would something like a chain gun be best? (I had heard that they jamb.)
