I used to shoot the old model that came with two Kevlar ribs, a high and a low. All wood furniture and I never had a recoil problem with the gun. Only problem I had with the gun were the ribs, they would loosen up every now and then and it was distracting. I would never consider a black plastic gun, unless I was going duck hunting on the Susquehanna River...
