Personally, I keep picking up those little Deerfields from Ruger whenever I come across one. Can't seem to quit fondling them. I keep thinking: "you know, a guy could just plink a bit with these, or take out a few whistle pigs or even take a deer if necessary." They appear well made, light, handy....just a heckuva good concept.

If you're stuck on the 9mm or 45 the camp carbine's a good choice.
