Well I guess I'm on the other side of the fence on this one. H414 seems like it would be a good 30-30 powder, not my first choice by a long shot, but not my last either. I would much prefer H/I 4895 to H414. It is slow, similar to 4350, but it's still good for 30-30. Also, I would only use it with heavier bullets, 150 gr. at a minimum.
The key point is that Mr. Poulan got a boat load at a good price. I say go ahead and give it a try. However, be aware that in the short barrel of the Trapper you might get arrested for spot-lighting game if you go target shooting after dusk.
