Engineering on plastic and metal guns is nearly the same. Maybe a bit of an edge to the polymer.
Function (at least from a practical standpoint) is as good today as any metal gun.
But the looks. REALLY???

No way any plastic gun will ever come close to resembling the craftsmanship of a metal gun.
Does an Colt AR compare to a Kraighoff?
