The Finns designed their own version, but also reworked many left behind by the Soviet Union after The Winter War.
If you've watched "Life Below Zero", the guy's wife tried to hit running elk from about 200 yards with what appears to be a Finn M-39. Notice the muzzle's sight protector and different wood color than typical Russian MN 91/30s.
