If not yet convinced, maybe some remarks on the Russian forum at SKSboards can better illuminate the situation.
The minor savings on corrosive Yugo ammo, versus Non-corrosive Russian, does not make it worth the burden of so much constant cleaning to avoid corrosion of the bore, chamber, bolt face, gas tube and piston.
Most SKS owners don't realize this, but no permanent alteration is needed to install a Tech Sight. My Norinco is now much more accurate. The only regret is not buying the sight much sooner.
