I am in need of a coyote gun. I have settled on Savage or Stevens. Either 204 or 223. I have found a new Stevens 223 for $275. So its either that now or a 204 later. This will be used for coyote and a little of plinking every now and then. I would like something that I can get enterance hole only shots. I have seen some with the 223 but a very good report about the 204 for it. But with a limited budget and no gun to fit this nich and going off to school this fall I am leaning toward the 223. Any opinions?
