"Need" is defined in different ways by different people. Yes, if the utilitarian use of firearms as tools are your only concerns I guess a few standard calibers fullfill your needs. However with a big part of owning guns being just
owning guns, I always find needs in all types, and calibers. Even those not as common as many. I generally don't try to make my life "easy" with my hobbies, but more importantly to me I try to make it fun!
