The .284 Winchester brass is resized before used in Swiss rifles.

Apparently, it is a bit thicker (longer lasting, perhaps) than the other new cases, available in the U.S.

Some prefer the new Redding dies for sizing, etc. for K31 rifles due to the modern design and compatibility with the K31. Not sure when Redding changed to this die design, so watch out older Redding dies in this caliber, some are going to be a different size, and design from the newer Reddings. When in doubt, email or call Redding for those answers.

I'm using new brass from Grafs at the moment. Those cases have been in the closet since last fall. I've also got new .284 Winchester that I'll be resizing soon for K31 use.
