I don't like for anything to suffer, human, varmint, whatever. I feel a little bad when I get a bad shot in on a groundhog or squirrel. The coyotes around here will make quick work of a wounded animal.
Do I feel bad over a miss or wounding? Yes.
Do I feel bad for long? No.
