If you haven't field stripped, cleaned, and lubed the gun yet, do so. That will not void your warranty. It is also how well over half of "malfunctioning" guns are fixed. If you require any work beyond that to make the gun function properly, send it in to springfield. That's the cheapest way to go.

It sucks if you don't have any other guns, though..
