Or another option is get sectional rods and the needed brushes and pack them in a small tool or fishing tackle box

I prefer the tackle box due to the sections provided for small pieces and the lower area for larger items such as assorted screwdrivers

I wouldn't worry about a "shotgun rod" since shotgun barrels seldom need scrubbing like rifled barrels, and almost never need cleaning "in the field"

A light wiping will take care of the shotguns 99% of the time.

The best thing to use for that is a "Tico Tool"
