It does not matter, both will kill any game animal you are likely to hunt. Just pick one and go. I'm a .308 man, my Uncle was a .270 man. He killed more deer before he died than I ever will but I have shot at 1000 yards in competition which he never did. It wouldn't have mattered if we traded guns, result would have been lots of dead targets for me and dead deer for him.
