The Firing Line Forums - View Single Post - BEC Scopes... worth the effort to even ASK?

I've never heard of BEC until recently, and now they're everywhere. I'm sure they're not top of the line, but I was wondering where some of their more expensive (read that "over $100") scopes rank against Tasco, Simmons, or Bushnell? I plan to hunt deer out to about 300 yards, where light gathering is going to be fairly important. I don't want CRAP, but I don't want to spend more than $150 right now.
