This rationalization is for myself alone,
not for the wife. While I have always been 100% loyal to my wife in things that really matter, there ain't no way I'm announcing "Hey, Honey, look what I just got....and here's why!!!
I plan on living a long time and being married to the same woman for a long time - sometimes "don't ask, don't tell" is a great policy.
