I have owned three .44 Mags over the years. Great hunting gun and have taken several antelope and deer over the years with that caliber. The first and second ones I had were Ruger NM Super Blackhawks, both with 7 1/2" barrels. The third was a NM Super Blackhawk with a 4 5/8" barrel. I loved them all. The last one I sold a few years back and recently have been shopping for another. I have it narrowed down to a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan. I want something with a short barrel that's stout and of course stainless. It will be my grizzly bear tamer when I venture into the hills from my house.
