Trijicon makes great optics without a doubt however I would go with the Leupold Mk 4 for the rifle you mentioned over the AccuPoint. If you want the best bang for your $ I strongly suggest you look into Vortex optics - their Viper PST is amazing. Some research over the internet will do you a world of good before you buy.
The Scout Squad is a great choice for an M1A if you dont want the full sized version. I run a Nightforce F1 on an MCS SASS stock for my scout squad setup
