Consider the Ruger SP101, a very controllable stainless steel pocket .357.
You will need a good pocket holster, I only carry and recommend the best: a Kramer horsehide.
With a speedloader and Seecamp .32 in the offside back pocket I have 16 rounds to get me back home all within my pants pockets.
