I retired from that department, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, after 20+ years. The previous sheriff, Harry Lee, befriended many Hollywood types when they came to town. Seagal was one who obtained an ID, etc. No training. no qualifications at the time.

I watched part of the show and almost threw up. I know many of the guys that were shown on it. Many are worthless. They want people to be impressed with their badge and gun. I noticed that things have not changed. It is extremely rank top heavy with the brass running around running their mouths usually messing things up and the lowly deputy getting to do the work, i.e. sorting out the mess and doing the paper work.

I don't have a good opinion of Steven Seagal which I'll keep to myself. But he should go back to Hollywood, continue to make B movies, and let the real professionals do their job without the "show." The other kiss asses should go hide and stop embarrassing themselves.
