I just received some new Remington cases and before sizing, I decided to check case length. From case to case the length is uniform, but all are about .003 from max length. Is that normal, or should they be shorter fresh from the factory? Also, do I need to trim before using or will they still be OK once sized? I'm no reloading pro, but I have had some success with .38, .45ACP and some .30-30 loads. I've just never loaded this caliber before and want to be safe w/my 1895. I appreciate any help anyone can give me.
