Thank You Suggestion

I went to my local gun shop the other day. The gunsmith has his own counter there. Had my old 10/22 with me because I had several jams the last time I fired it using one of my Butler Creek 25 round magazines. I brought the two magazines that I own with me, he put 10 rounds through each.

While the gunsmith was checking the rifle I bought some handgun ammo from another counter. After about five minutes the gunsmith called me over. He had tightened one screw on the 10/22 and told me I had one bad mag. I offered to pay him and he shrugged me off and said "no charge". He spent maybe five minutes on my rifle.

In reflection I should have done something besides say thanks to repay him. Any ideas? He's got a bakery and cafe next door, so my first thought of coffee and doughnuts won't work.
