Benelli M1 Super 90 OK for Sporting Clays?

I was just invited to shoot sporting clays for the first time. I presently only own a Benelli M1 super 90 with ghost sights. It is my home defensive shotgun which is shot 4-5 times a year. Years ago I bought an accessory barrel (26" select with 5 screw in chokes). I bought it on sale just in case I ever "got in to "shotgun shooting. Would this shotgun be OK to use with the accessory barrel ? If so, which choke should I use? I was told that most people are taught to shoot with both eyes open and to point the shotgun. If this is the case, would the Benelli still be OK to use with the receiver mounted ghost sight? I don't think it is easily removed. If this set up will make me look foolish I can always borrow my friends Remington 1100. I prefer to use the Benelli since I am very familiar with its operation and it is very light and fast.
I am a die hard experienced pistol shooter and have very little knowledge about shotguns. Any feedback would be most appreciated.

PS What would be an appropriate load to use?

Thanks so much! Dave
