Had it happen to me personally. I've read of the one here and there was another individual locally that I've shot with that had the same experience.

I've never heard of a choate doing it, my understanding was that they were one piece though I've only owned one of those in the past.

I personally prefer Remington in that they are two piece, but threaded.
