Unless it's mandated by the state in which it is sold, no. The P229 can hold 15 rds of 9mm or 12 rds of 40SW. This is the same capacity of the P226. Of course aftermarket MecGar mags for the P226 go up to 18 rds of 9mm.

The SRT trigger is a DA/SA trigger. The SRT stands for Short Reset Trigger. It's a DA/SA trigger with a shorter reset.
