Just caught the part about the primers and the fact you will be hunting in very cold weather. The Federal 210M primer will be fine as have done very well in the few tests results I have read but you may want to do your load workup with either H4350 or H4895 . These are a very user friendly powders insofar as being insensitive to cold and used by many for their heavier deer hunting loads . These are 2 of Hodgdons " extreme " series powders for the very reason you mentioned. Nice to see you have a lady friend to enjoy both loading and hunting with . Wish more were like that.
