1973 - 1974 numbers were from D510001 to D659901. Probably a model 10, model number would be on frame beneath barrel, visible when cylinder is swung out.

Dates to April or May 1989. Model number should be visible as noted above, most likely a model 37 or 38. The silver piece is most likely a Tyler grip adapter.

Not much to go on, I'm guessing it is a break top (barrel tilts down for loading/unloading) with external hammer. The s/n falls within the range for the .38 Double Action 4th Model which was made 1895 - 1909. Cartridge is .38 S&W which is slightly larger in diameter but shorter than the .38 Special. Done enough guessing already so I won't make a guess as to value.
