I agree. I had the same thought myself. Another holiday may be less controversial and divisive. Gun owners should strive to gather public sympathy and support and not play into the hands of the left. It was a proper and necessary demonstration, but held on the wrong day.

The day wasn't chosen by the gun rights groups. The date is selected by our good government as Lobby Day when different groups lobby the legislature.
