M&P15-22'a are great. I owned one and it functioned flawlessly. I only sold it when I bough a couple of CMMG AR-15's in .22lr. I only did this so I could interchange the uppers. The ones I bought were Quebec-A(not sure if it is still being made). It is a multi caliber lower with a dedicated upper. I think I paid $450 for it in 2011.
You will see from many of my other posts, I swear by S&W. if you are looking for an AR in .22, the M&P15-22 would be the best choice for most.
