This is my second H&R revolver,,,

This is my second H&R revolver,,,
I also have a Model 922.

It's a bit unusual though,,,
It has a 3 digit serial number starting with the letter E.

According to a gentleman on another forum,,,
The E tells us it was made in 1944,,,
So it's a WW-II vintage gun.

This little shooter is extremely accurate,,,
A young friend who shoots Bullseye tried it out,,,
At 25 yards he was cutting the center out of a 2" circle.

But the oddest thing is that it has a "free wheeling" cylinder,,,
Apparently this was changed in late 40's or early 50's,,,
The cylinder will turn when the hammer is down.

But I like it well enough as a range plinker,,,
And I have it Paired up with a Western-Field 815 (Mossie 320) rifle.

I do like my paired sets.
