All I can say is the 300 is a fun gun to shoot. I'm casting the 230 gr boolits in my Lee mold, then coating them with Hi Tek. After that I load with 11.4 gr of AA-1680 and press them to an OAL of 2.210", followed by the crimp die. At 50 yds they make a 10 shot ragged hole. At 100 yds they are still in a nice 1 1/2" - 2" hole for 10 shots.
I also use a Forster hollow pointer to aid in expanding for when I'm hunting. So far the pigs drop with 1 shot.
Only problem I had in the beginning was determining the OAL so they would feed well. After determining the 2.210" length, the mag feeds them just fine.
And they cost me $0.09 cents per round.
