I picked one up used, at a good price. It was one of the early ones, with a heavy trigger. I had the Ghost trigger kit installed (by my gunsmith) and it made the trigger crisp and lighter, but still a bit heavier than I'd like. The later SR9c and maybe the current SR9 models have better triggers than the first SR9's.

Nice gun, accurate. Hope to shoot it some more this spring. I have several Glocks, and I think the new Ruger design does the Glock thing better than Glock -- except that there are many more parts in the Ruger. Simplicity is one of the things elegant about the Glock design. (After looking at the Ghost video of how to install their trigger kit, and the many small parts in the Ruger fire control assembly, I passed and let my gunsmith do it. I have a knack for dropping little pieces, not finding them, and having to order more.)

Unlike prior Ruger semi-autos, these guns look as though a graphics-trained engineer was in charge of "looks" -- these don't look like overweight tanks.

I like the SR9 and may get an SR9c one of these days...
