So I picked up my brand new Ruger Mini-14 today and am getting ready to work up some loads for it. I have a set of Lee .223 Remington dies, what I'm wondering is do I really need a small base resizing die for it? Checked a re-sized case in the chamber seems to be no problem with extraction (really have no idea if this is a valid technique or not). If anyone here loads for a Mini, have you had any issues with a regular full length resizing die? I did a search for this topic but came up with nothing relevant to the Mini, just ARs, any help here is appreciated.
