the winchester should prove to be exceptionally accurate if te bore is in good condition, the 222 is an increadibly accurate cartridge, it held nearly all benchrest records for 100-200yd shooting for many years. i would suggest bullets of 50-55gr. it should prove to be a good chuck/prarrie dog/crow rifle, i have had several 222's, a pre64 model 70, a remington 722, and a savage 340D, all have been quite accurate, even the svage 340, which was designed to be a bragin rifle. good luck with the new rifle.
