Ruger Single Six, Ruger Single Ten, Ruger SP101-22, S&W 617, S&W 317, S&W 63. Those are the best in the $600 and under range. Stay away from the crap that Taurus calls a 22 revolver. Since you have $600, you are in the position to buy something well made, and Taurus isnt it. I have every revolver I listed above, and only the 617 was above $600, and its a nice revolver, but big, and heavy. The SP101-22 or Single Six/Ten are in the low $500s for stainless, and the blued ones are even less.
