HERE is probably where I need to ask this question!

I have tried to use the smilies a few times, but when I preview the post, all it does is text out (for example) rolledeyes and then a picture of the original yellow smily. Does it go across the internet with the appropriate smily, or have I failed to "turn something on" in my browser/etc?
