Any help would be greatly appreciated, I recently purchased a colt 1903, serial number dates it to 1916. It is very clean, functions flawlessly, and appears unmolested in any regard. However, it is missing the rampant colt logo at the rear of the slide. No file marks, hasn't been reblued, it honestly looks like like it was put on the gun. Any chance during wartime production it was missed?
