I agree, back in the day I always kept a Marlin 30/30 in the gunrack of my truck...( nobody freaked at seeing a gun back then LOL).
Even if you are camping or hunting where there are just small country stores, you can always get ammo! They may not have a big selection of calibers, but I have never failed to see a few boxes of 30/30 win.
